5/8" Eco-Soft Carpet Tiles Reviews

I had regular carpet in my basement and of course the basement flooded 3 times. Twice because of rain and once because of hot water heater. So, after the 2013 Aurora, Co flooding my wife refused to put carpet down again, so we purchased the Eco Soft Carpet Tiles. They were so easy to install. I couldn't make a mistake even if I wanted to. When I thought I was going straight the puzzle piece would let me know that I wasn't straight, because it would bubble up so I would have to slide the squares over a little bit. To be honest with you I think the flooring is more durable than what Rubber Flooring leads on to. I bought 150 squares for my basement and most of the squares I had to remove the edges. I thought to myself what a waste. What can I do with these pieces. I decided to apply them on my stairs. I have pictures I will show you how it turned out. My wife loves it.

Not especially happy with the durability as far as furniture marks. If you sit a chair on the carpet for any length of time, be aware it will leave the leg marks in the carpet forever. After moving the chair around three or four times you will have a multitude of indentations where each leg sat. They will never go away no matter what you do. As far as the durability, I vacuumed the carpet several times and filled my sweeper with carpet fibers each time. Don't know how much carpet will be left if I keep vacuuming it. Everything sticks to the fibers and it is difficult to get particles up. Looks nice and easy to install. Laid it about three weeks ago. Still looks good, except for the dents from chairs.

I have an unfinished basement with several ″rooms″. The floor was once finished in linoleum tile but has been destroyed at the perimeter by the commercial waterproofing process. It is is uneven and ugly. The Eco-Soft carpet tiles are a perfect solution! The thickness makes it feel like there is rug padding built right in, and it helps to level uneven surfaces. It definitely makes the basement floor feel better insulated and warm. Since I was covering a large area, I had the installation done by a handyman in stages, and he really praised the product. Delivery was swift for each batch of tiles that I ordered. The only word of caution I might add is that, even though the handyman examined the back of each tiile to find the directional arrow and keep the installation consistent, there is still significant color variation within the light gray color selection. Maybe that isn't the case with the other colors. Since this is a basement application, that was not a big issue for me, but it might be for someplace more visible. I am totally satisfied with the outcome!

i bought this for my new home gym and installed it myself. Purchasing it was simple, ship time was relatively short and installation by myself was quite easy. The 3/8″ foam backing makes a HUGE difference in the warm of the room, the carpet face gives the tiles a better feeling than plain sealed foam tiles while doing push-ups and sit-ups and the softness is nice while doing other exercises. I was concerned before I bought them that the tile might be too soft for a large and very heavy gym to sit on and remain stable but there is no problem at all. I am really happy with my tiles, just don't order the wrong type or too many because it is VERY expensive to return them! It cost me half of what I paid for them to ship the ones back I did not want due to their size and bulk!

I revamped a business I purchased. I liked the idea of interconnecting squares and this was easy to do. Great and durable for a child care center.

I bought this product with the intention of providing a safe space for my 6 month old to sit and play in our living room, where we do not have carpeting. From the description, it sounded like it would be soft enough for this purpose. However, it was not. Not even close. The first time my baby toppled over, I was astounded by the sound as she hit her head on the tiles and was horrified as she cried hysterically from the impact. Despite this terrible experience, I am not giving the product a low rating because I'm sure it's fine for other purposes and because the foamtiles company was apologetic and very kind in helping me try to resolve the issue I still had with creating a safe area for my baby. The resolution offered was not perfect and we still need to use an extra cushion under her, but it was generous and the result was at least better than it was before. However, I did want to write this review to warn others who might be thinking these tiles would be good for their infant's play area. If your baby is not 100% stable in sitting/standing and may topple over - this is not the product for your purposes.

Very easy to install, just insure you.have the arrows on the back pointing inthe same direction and it turns out great.

Everything from website selection, to ordering and shipping, and finally to receipt and installation was so simple and easy. This was my first experience with the company and the product and I couldn't be more satisfied. The finished product looks great and was the perfect choice for a below grade room.

Got this as flooring for my daughter's bunnies play pen. Easy to clean, looks good, good for the bunnies to play on. Too bad for me I might be needing some replacement squares. But that's not too bad for the company I suppose.

I wish I had known about these prior to several other earlier projects for which this would have prevented much angst! These tiles are very sturdy, easily installed, relatively easily cut to fit, have no odor whatsoever, provide excellent cushioning and to boot, look GREAT. While perfect for less than imperfect surfaces, absorbing the slight irregularities, they are thick enough to provide a totally smooth top surface. The dovetail joint design prevents movement or separation from common wear. This product is A#1 prime choice select--best product ever. Thank you much!

Very little work and I transformed my basement from drab to fab!

Seem very sturdy and durable. Easy to put together and tear down.

The Eco-Soft Carpet tiles are great. I thought they would be small, but when they came, it was larger than expected. The installation process was simple and not much work, which was great. Cleaning the Tiles are simple, and they are also cozy.

We used these carpet tiles to line the wall on either side of a golf simulator. Great product. Light yet durable and matched the black felt on the sides of the simulator perfectly!

We installed these Eco-Soft Carpet Tiles in our basement as a flooring for a play area. They were easy to cut for exact fit so it made installation a cench.

I really like this product - easy to install and the perfect floor covering for my newly finished basement. I am disappointed in the color variations in the dark gray tiles.

Put these in our basement, great cushion! Awesome product.

We used the carpeted rubber tiles for our basement and they are amazing! It looks like a completely different finished room we actually want to spend time in. We did half of the basement including exercise room and laundry room. I love that if there is ever a water spill or leak I can just pull them up and dry them and put them back down. Looking forward to completing our basement ping pong area etc. it feels clean fresh and very livable whereas before it was just too “basementy”.

The carpet tile were well made and met my need perfectly.

This product was exactly what we wanted for our basement. The carpet tiles were easy to put down directly over the concrete floor. We were impressed that color of the tiles were all very uniform and how thick the tiles feel under our feet. These tiles in addition to paint really transformed our basement.
