  • 5/8” thick soft carpet tiles can be maintained just like your carpet at home.
  • The recommended cleaning instructions typically include vacuuming the tiles on a medium setting to remove any loose or dry crumbs, dust, or debris.
  • To clean harder caked in stains or liquids off the carpet tile, the tiles can be wiped off with a damp rag or can be temporarily lifted and cleaned under warm running water in a sink or tub.

Installation of interlocking tiles is very simple and typically done by the consumer. Typical installation of these tiles is as follows:
  • First, clean your sub floor so it is free of all dirt, grease or debris.
  • Start in one corner of the room with a corner tile and add border tiles outward along the adjacent walls. Add center, corner, and border tiles where you see fit.
  • When coming up to an opposite wall, make sure you cut the tiles to fit the area leaving a gap that’s roughly the thickness of the tiles being used to account for expansion and contraction of the floor tiles in varied temperature ranges.
Note: When piecing interlocking tiles together, adhesives are usually not used since the weight of the locked together product is usually enough to keep the floor tiles from moving. However, if you do experience movement and would like to ensure that the tiles do not slide at all, some double-sided tape or mat tape can be used around the perimeter of the installation to prevent any movement.

Customer Questions & Answers

Don't see what you're looking for?
Can I use this in a screened porch that is subject to rain, snow, and the temperature variance of the midwest?
Our 5/8" Premium Soft Carpet Tiles can be installed in a screened porch. These tiles are very easy to clean and maintain and are resistant to mold, mildew, and staining. These qualities make these tiles perfect for this application. If for some reason the tiles get ruined, you can easily remove the tile and replace it with a new one.
I want to put this is my bedroom, will my bed or dresser be too much weight for them? I want something more expensive than carpet but I love carpet better than hardwood floors?
A bed or dresser can be placed over our 5/8" Premium Soft Carpet Tiles. The weight of the bed and dresser will leave an indentation in the tiles, but that indentation won't be noticeable unless you decide to rearrange the room. To help to prevent this indentation, we recommend placing furniture sliders under the bed and dresser.
I am looking at tech specifications sheet. What does CPSIA & CFR mean? Are these viewable documents on line? What are the units of the detection limit? I do not see any temperature absorbing data? Are there any?
CPSIA & CFR are names of tests that were done on our foam tile flooring. CPSIA stands for the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act, and CFR stands for Code of Federal Regulation. The detection limit for our Formamide testing is in parts per million. We don't have any testing for the R-value of our foam products. That would tell you the insulating value of our flooring.
Concerning the 5/8" Premium Soft Carpet Tiles. Will the high density foam backing be safe to go directly over a laminate floor? For example, any discoloring of laminate or will foam eventually adhere to the laminate, if the carpet tiles are ever removed?
Our 5/8" Premium Soft Carpet Tiles are safe to install over laminate flooring, or any other hard, flat flooring surface. These tiles will not stain any flooring underneath and will not adhere to the flooring underneath. These interlocking tiles are very easy to install and remove. So if you move, you can just pull the tiles up and install them in your new home.
I am interested in installing the prem 5/8 carpet tiles in a bedroom for a home gym. With an exercise bike and total gym. In your questions, it states heavy items can leave intentions. I know with regular carpet & padding, furniture indentions will subside after a couple of days. Will this have the same type of expectations? Or are the indentions permanent?
Depending on how long and the item is on the flooring will determine really how long the indentations will last. If the items are only on the flooring for a short period, then the indentations should subside after some time. If the furniture is left on the flooring for several weeks or months, then you may still have some indentations even after the furniture has been moved. Our tiles are made from a different type of foam compared to to the typical rebond that is used as carpet padding. Rebond is made not to hold memory and typically what you see as an indentation is really the carpet fibers being pushed down. Over time with regular vacuuming and cleaning, the fibers and pad return to their original state. Our foam tiles, on the other hand, are not like that as they are made from more dense foam.

I installed the carpet for the first half of my office in about 90 minutes, can't wait to do the other half.

Total area to cover is 500 square foot, it is just looking great, all the customer are asking, where can I get that tile. It was super easy to install, anyone can do it, even you.

Have pictures to prove it.

Use navy blue 5/8" Premium Soft Carpet Tiles for three wide area around the pool table. The carpet squares went down very easy and held securely. The quality is very good I expect the carpet to last many years. Having the carpet is so much better then shooting pool from the cold concert basement floor.

Basement Application of 5/8" Soft Carpet Tile
Self-installed in Basement
from michigan wrote...
I installed 500 sq ft of carpet tiles in my L-shaped basement in about 8 hours. I selected waterproof carpet tiles because I was concerned about possible moisture or mold in the house I had just purchased. I wanted to be able to remove sections of carpet in case of moisture, stains, wear, mold, etc. The carpet arrived in good condition, was easily cut with a sharp matt knife and square. I spent significant time planning the layout to avoid wastage and small pieces. I tested samples of the carpet against full strength bleach, and against insect prevention chemicals in case I used either in the future. I also tested the samples for water absorption. All tests were good. The carpet does tend to leave "dents" under heavy objects so I place protection under the furniture legs. Follow the arrows on the bottomside. Some carpet tiles are slightly different shade. The fit of the tile is excellent, so seams are not noticeable. Great for basement.
