Description - Featuring a durable carpet top over cross-link polyethylene foam, these portable Home Cheer mats allow you to create safe and durable practice spaces virtually anywhere. Easy to install and use, our home cheer mats are versatile enough to be used as tumbling mats and gymnastics mats, providing fun and safety for any multipurpose environment. Available in several color options, these easy-to-store roll out mats are the perfect floor for any cheer athlete.
Note – If ordering more than one mat, there may be slight variation in carpet color shade, texture, and nominal size due to the production process. Velcro strips are included on all orders of 2 mats or more for joining (one per seam). If placing another order at a later time, please contact us if you need additional velcro strips for the new mat.

  • Cheer mats are very easy to clean. Each mat is constructed of durable closed cross-linked polyethylene sports foam with a durable carpet top.
  • If the mats do get something spilled on them or appear dirty, all that is needed to clean them is to do a quick wipe of the mat with a damp cloth or vacuum and your cheer mat will look like new.
  • Cheer Mats are very easy to install. The built-in flex rolling system makes it easy & quick to roll each mat out for use and then roll it back up when finished for convenient storage. I'm trying to decide between this cheer mat and the home fitness mat for a garage gym. I want something that will absorb the shock of jumping exercises and not give too much underfoot. Does the cheer mat have too much "give" for HIIT workouts, or would it be a better mat for a concrete floor?
Our Home Cheer Mats can be used as a mat for high impact workouts, but our Home Fitness Mats would be better. The Fitness Mats were designed with high impact workouts in mind. Both mats are very shock absorbent, but the Fitness Mats feature a vinyl top that is easier to clean and sanitize.
What is the difference between your Cheer Mats and your Wrestling Mats?
The only difference between our Home Cheer Mats and our Home Wrestling Mats is that the Home Cheer Mats have a carpet top while our Home Wrestling Mats have a vinyl top.

Do these mats come with Velcro strips to keep them together and from moving?

If you order two or more mats, you will get strips of velcro to keep the mats together. The velcro goes on the top of the mats. If you are concerned about the mats moving when installed, we recommend adding some tape under the flooring to keep the mats in place over slippery subsurfaces.
I am considering this to cover a 10x10 home gym. Would this adequately support a spin bike and treadmill in terms of stability while operating the equipment? Understand that the foam would give to the weight of the equipment, and one wouldn’t want to move these large pieces around the floor, but would the bike remain stable on top of the foam while riding?

You could place a spin bike and treadmill over our Home Cheer Mats. The weight of the equipment will cause indentations in the mat, but the equipment will be stable on the mat. To help mitigate the indentations, we recommend placing some furniture sliders under your equipment's feet.

What is the weight of a 4' x 6' x 2" cheer mat?
Our 4' x 6' Cheer Mats weigh approximately 12 lbs no matter the thickness and our 5' x 10' Cheer Mats weight approximately 23 lbs.
I am planning to use this on a white carpet. I am afraid that the back of this mat might make it discolored or cause any damage to the carpet?

The back of our Home Cheer Mats is made from foam that will not stain any surface, including white carpet. Since these are made in a warehouse and are shipped, we would recommend cleaning the bottom of the mat with a mild soap and water solution to ensure no dirt stains the carpet or any other light-colored surface.
Would these be suitable for outdoor use? Can they be left out in the elements?
Our Home Cheer Mats feature a carpet top over foam. Both of these materials aren't the best for prolonged outdoor use, but you can use them outdoors. Since they are easy to roll-up and transport, moving the mats in and out of your home is very easy, so if the weather were to turn, you can easily roll them up and bring them in.
Can they be used outdoor and exposed to rain?

Our Home Cheer Mats can be used outdoors and can withstand the elements. The top of the mat is carpet, so it can be a little more difficult to keep clean but will last outdoors.
Would this work well for jumping rope (shock absorption, responsiveness...)?

Our Home Cheer Mats could be used for jumping rope, but they wouldn't be the best option. Our Home Wrestling Mats or our FlexFit mats would be a better choice as the top surface will be more durable. The carpet top, over time, would become damaged. The other mats have a durable vinyl top that will not be as easily damaged and will last a lot longer.
What would be the best choice for lateral movement wihtout risk of tripping? we are moving to a third floor condo with carpet. Want to reduce annoying sounds for new neighbors below. We are doing walking videos with lateral moves, backwards motion and HIIT training.

Home Cheer Mats are great for HIIT training and lateral movement. Cheer Mats can be connected with the hook-tape that is included with any order of two or more mats. The tape holds the mats together and eliminates a tripping hazard.
What would you recommend as protective matting for a children's play gym that is about 4-5 feet high?

Home Cheer Mats or Home Wrestling Mats would be great for a play gym. They give great cushion and area easy to clean or move around when needed.
I have a place that is 9.5’x9.5’. Would the 10’x10’ option be able to be cut down easily to fit my space?
Our Home Cheer Mats can be cut to fit any space easily with a large utility knife and a straight edge. We also have a video showing you how to cut the mats.

How squishy are these mats? I'm wanting a squishier mat to do more difficult things that you would normally have a mattress for. I do not need that much, but somewhere in between that and a normal mat.
Based on your specifications, I recommend our Folding Landing Mats(https://www.flooringinc.com/gymnastics-mats/folding-landing-mats.html) or our Crash Mats (https://www.flooringinc.com/gymnastics-mats/crash-mats.html). These mats would give you more cushioning for more challenging moves but won't be as soft as a mattress.
I am considering this as a standing mat for a golf simulator. Would this stay firm under foot or does it have to much give? Also is the depth exactly 2" with carpet or 2" of just foam and carpet on top of that?

For a golf simulator, we recommend checking out our selection of artificial turfs and grasses found here: https://www.flooringinc.com/artificial-grass-flooring.html. You will be able to build a more natural-feeling stance when using those products vs. a foam mat.
I would like to make my garage into a tumble gym for my boys. I would need to park a car in the garage once in a while. Can these mats withstand a car on them for an evening?

We do not recommend driving a car over our Home Cheer Mats. The weight of a vehicle can cause tears in the foam or rips in the carpet top.
How soft are your 1 3/8 inch cheer mats? Could they be used for yoga?

Our Home Cheer Mats use XPE foam with a density of 2.2psi which is plenty of cushioning for yoga.

I needed a mat for home exercise that could withstand the circuit training that I am doing. I wanted something similar to the one that I use at bootcamp. It is cushy without being unstable - my feet or knees or whatever body part is on it never hurts. I can vacuum it and... IT DOESN'T HAVE A NASTY RUBBER SMELL! I unroll it when I'm ready to use it, and roll it up when I'm done. Lightweight and easy to move. Overall, I am totally happy with this mat.

These mats provide a nice surface for floor exercises. I use these in a renovated garage. The floor is a painted concrete. These mats roll out easily, are light weight and nice to roll up and store when not needed. The surface provides warmth and nice support for standing exercises as well as floor exercising. Very Happy with the purchase.
