Accessories for 3/4" Soft Rubber Tiles

Description - Our interlocking soft rubber tiles are an ideal solution for people looking for a non slip rubber matting surface that also has the exceptional cushioning properties of interlocking foam floor mats. These floor tiles are new to the market and are constructed using an innovative production process that bonds a recycled rubber top surface layer to a high density closed cell foam base layer. Due to this unique construction method, these tiles are more durable and slip resistant than standard foam tiles, and like foam tiles, are sound proof, water proof, shock absorbent, and insulating in addition to being light in weight as compared to standard all rubber tiles. These tiles also use are patented interlocking tile design where each foam rubber tile has two removable edge pieces which allows each tile to be either a center, corner, or border tile.
Material – Recycled rubber top layer bonded to a closed cell EVA foam rubber base.
Size – 2' x 2' (Note: Tiles do overlap 1.875” where they lock together)
Thickness – 3/4" nominal (~18mm)
Weight – Each 3/4" tile weighs approximately 4.00 Lbs.
Spec Sheet - Printable Spec Sheet.
Recommended Uses – Soft foam rubber tiles have been used successfully as interlocking home gym mats, as inexpensive trade show flooring, in schools, churches, and day care centers for kid’s play mats, and in a variety of other locations where an foam matting with a rubber top surface would be useful to provide cushioning and traction under foot. These mats are not normally recommended for use in commercial gyms or areas where heavy weight equipment will be used since the foam backing will compress a fair amount under heavy weight.
  • Soft Rubber tiles are in stock and ready to ship via Fedex.
  • rubber topped foam tiles typically ship the same day or the next business day and deliver within 2-7 business days depending on your location.
  • An email will automatically be sent to you with your tracking information as soon as your interlocking floor mats ship and your tracking information becomes available.
  • Soft rubber tiles are simple to clean and maintain. These foam floor tiles are constructed of durable closed cell foam and have a recycled rubber surface bonded to the top surface. This means liquids cannot penetrate the surface foam rubber mats.
  • If the interlocking foam rubber tiles do get something spilled on them or appear dirty, all that is required to clean them is to do a quick wipe of the interlocking floor tiles with a damp cloth and your soft rubber tiles will look like new.
Installation of interlocking tiles is very simple and typically done by the consumer. Typical installation of these tiles is as follows:
  • First, clean your sub floor so it is free of all dirt, grease or debris.
  • Start in one corner of the room with a corner tile and add border tiles outward along the adjacent walls. Add center, corner, and border tiles where you see fit.
  • When coming up to an opposite wall, make sure you cut the tiles to fit the area leaving a gap that’s roughly the thickness of the tiles being used to account for expansion and contraction of the floor tiles in varied temperature ranges.
Note: When piecing interlocking tiles together, adhesives are usually not used since the weight of the locked together product is usually enough to keep the floor tiles from moving. However, if you do experience movement and would like to ensure that the tiles do not slide at all, some double-sided tape or mat tape can be used around the perimeter of the installation to prevent any movement.

    Q:

I would like to use these on a finished basement floor which is a workout and family room. Some of the foam products say "Foam products can be punctured by sharp animal nails, rough use, high heels, and moving furniture." Would these tiles be able to handle those sorts of things without puncturing?

    A:

Our 3/4" Soft Rubber Tiles are our top of the line foam/rubber tiles and feature a rubber top over a foam base. This rubber top helps to prevent puncturing from animal nails, rough uses, high heels and the like, while the foam base helps to give you, added shock absorption and bounce.

    Q:

Is this flooring appropriate for a combination of floor exercise and cardio equipment? I have an elliptical machine, a stepper, a lateral trainer and rower. I see that the floor is not recommended for heavy weights, but what about heavy machines? Will the floor be stable and not get damaged?

    A:

You can install heavy equipment over our 3/4" Soft Rubber Tiles. The only thing that you may notice is that where you place the equipment, that there will be indentations that will not go away. To help minimize this, we recommend using furniture sliders under the equipment.

After much searching we decided to try these rubber topped foam tiles. The installation was simple, the product lays on the floor nicely, stands up to the abuse in our commercial warehouse and is easy to clean. We will be covering more of our warehouse floor with this product.

I couldn't be happier with my results from this flooring. It is the perfect choice for a do it yourself workout room or home gym. Easy to install, and great to workout on! Thank you RubberFlooringInc. For a wonderful product.
  ALMOST perfect!

The high-impact tiles work great for saving my knee during some intense workouts. They are easy to assemble, just the right weight, and texture. My ONLY complaint is the durability of the color. I bought the black with Navy specks, and tried to wash them one day with a water/vinegar mixture. Well, the middle square are now mostly black, so they don't look great anymore, which I am not very happy considering their cost, but they do the job of protecting my knee and providing a cushion for my workouts. Still recommend these over a cheap mat.
